Press Start: Games Founding Grant

Launch pad for ingenious games ideas!

The ‘Press Start: Games Founding Grant’ supported 132 creative minds in the games sector from January 2025 to June 2026 in founding their own games studios in Germany. This resulted in 75 founded games studios.

The grant has been organised and implemented by game – the German Games Industry Association in cooperation with the The Foundation for Digital Games Culture. The grant was funded by the Minister of State for Culture and the Media.
